Merlin won again last night by a score 8-0 keeping them ahead of the pack 10-4 and now a 6 game win streak!

Game was cancelled this past Thursday due to weather. Play will continue as Merlin plays a DH Monday night.

Merlin prevailed once again. Winning both games last night by mercy rule. 1st game was 14-1 and the 2nd 12-0. Merlin's hot bats bumps the record to 12-4 and now an 8 game winning streak.

Last evenings game was cancelled. Merlin will be travelling to Melbourne to face the Jrs in they're first round best 2 of 3 in the ORSA play-down on Sunday at 7 pm.

Merlin is throwing a fundraiser July 27, 2007 from 6 pm - 7:30 pm at the Merlin Legion. Its a Pasta, roll, dessert and salad supper. Tickets are $ 8 a piece. The bar will be open and all the beer is only $ 3. We will have tickets available this coming Sunday if anyone is interested in buying any. Hammer the Hooterville Hogs.. Hopefully Melb grabbed a pitcher the guys the have in the Middlesex League stink. Went a watched this game, and sure enough Merlin pounded Melbournes shitty pitching. I really think Merlin should join the Middlesex league, they can hit, would need a better arm then i saw tonight... |

We have other pitchers but the one we had is our first baseman who pitches when we need him. He was the only thrower we had last night lol. But does well enough when he does throw. We have 3 other pitchers which Phil Drew being 1 who can't play in the ORSA he signed a card with Fingal for the OA's. Brian Snake Jr and Eddie Cebula are the other 2 throwers as well. But after last nights 19 - 4 win, game 2 is being played back home in Merlin Tuesday at 8 pm. If game 3 is needed, that will be played in Merlin again after winning the flip last night.

Did I hear right? After hammering Melbourne 19-4 in game 1, the mighty Merlin Jrs who hail from one of the prestige leagues in all on Ontario (Windsor) lost game 2? How the heck did you lose to that pitching?
Maybe you guys should stay in the windsor league, I am going to have to say Go Melb now too, that is good resilient ball...

Melbourne forces game 3 after they're 7-3 victory last night. No date set as of yet for the final game. Melbourne played a good game adding 6 runs in the first 2 innings with good defence behind it.
