2008 Ontario Masters Provincial Fastball Championships

The Ontario Amateur Softball Association (OASA) has a rich heritage in promoting and fostering men's fastball since its formation in 1923. The OASA is a member association of Softball Ontario, the governing body for softball In Ontario.

The Ontario Masters "A" & "B" Provincial Championships will take place July 18, 19 & 20th. at Ker Park in Niagara Falls Ontario. Directions to Ker Park, take QEW Niagara to Thoroldstone Road exit in Niagara Falls. Turn left at the ramp (Thoroldstone Road) and go back over the highway. Turn left on Sinnicks Rd. at the McDonald's. The park is a few blocks down Sinnicks on the right.
Divisions – New "B" division for 2008 !!!!
The "A" & "B' Championships will be run as 2 completely separate divisions with no cross scheduling, "A" teams will only play "A" teams and the "B" teams will only play other "B" teams.
Gold and Silver medals will be awarded by the OASA in both divisions. Most Valuable Pitcher & Most Valuable
Player awards will be presented by the Host Committee in each division as well. The OASA Masters Championship is also known as the Jack Cook Classic, the OASA will present the Jack Cook Classic award to a player, coach or manager who displays skill, leadership and sportsmanship on and off the field. The OASA has a scholarship program rewarding the scholastic and academic excellence of players at the Midget and Junior level enrolled in either a community college or university. This scholarship program is funded by a plan that accepts donations as well as a significant donation from the Jack Cook Classic Provincial Masters Championship host.
The Masters "B" division is newly created for 2008, this new division has strict eligibility rules in place to ensure any "B" teams will be competing against other teams of the same caliber. Click the following link to view these new eligibility rules ..... www.oasa.ca/mensnews.htm

OASA Affiliation Date : June 10th. Your team's entry fee should be in the hands of the OASA Registrar by this date, the entry fee is $325

Insurance requirements:
Insurance : Liability Insurance is mandatory, if your team doesn't have proof of insurance you can purchase liability insurance through the OASA. Liability insurance costs $ 21.50 per team.Your team can also purchase accident insurance for $ 32.50 per team, accident insurance is optional.
