Yeah the team that MacIntyre & Comfort coach at Parkside with the rest of the TMR and Resource kids that he'll be graduating with.

I scouted this league for talent back in the 80's and you are correct, Disco did star in the league AND he was the first guy to hit 40 HR's and steal 40 bases in the same season. Come to think of it he was the only guy to EVER steal a base in slo-pitch and to do it 40 times in one season gives you an idea of the kind of athlete that he was. Despite rumors to the contrary I think he was clean because no one was ever able to prove that Disco was on steroids, but I know some thought he was because of his physical stature.

Even though Disco was able to carry his team to 11 straight league titles I think that it would be unfair not mention the other half of the formidable 1-2 punch that the team rode to all those titles. A lot of folk back then use to compare them to Ruth/Gehrig or in hockey terms a Gretzky/Messier combo.

I of course am refering to the immortal Skiba who not only toe'd the rubber through all those titles but was legendary for riding his bike to ALL games on the road. One can not forget Skiba's many contributions serving as team photographer as well. Try to find an athlete like that today wiling to go the extra mile. If I recall it was Skiba that tried to revolutionalize the game of baseball by introducing cheerleaders to the sport during the 80's. Would have been a done deal except for negotioations falling apart when all the Voaden cheerleaders backed out when they got creeped out at all the pictures of themselves hanging in his apartment. I didn't get it then and I don't get it now ... Whats a few thousand pictures shot from behind trees and on the beach in Port to get upset about?
