Word is Belmont is folded up shop. What guys are going where?
Glanworth is in the S.T.D.M.F.L for sure.
Blenheim, well who cares.

You have listed 7 guys, could a few more not be found to keep Belmont going? I do not see Gee or Mccalum making the drive to play a home game in Glencoe, maybe with the start up kids in Glanworth, closer to home, if they play in this league at all.

I am pretty sure Glanworth could use some help, they could not even finish top 3 in the middlesex league, they are in for a rough ride in this one, maybe worst new team ever is my prediction, although nothing wrong with some younger guys wanting to play good ball, just hope their spirts hang tough, to keep the team going. Going to be a tough couple of years.

Question,
Are we ever going to maybe think of a merger with another league, instead of being content with 5 teams? I assume the Middlesex one would make the most sense, but maybe it is time to stop worrying about the quality of teams, and maybe the quantity. What if Glanworth had not moved, up and we had lost Belmont and Blenheim, wouldn't that be a fun league. I just think it is time we start looking at it. I have seen some of the teams in that league over the past few years, and some of them would have beat some of the teams here. Poplar Hill, Appin, Lambeth, all would have beat some of our teams. I dont think Appin is around anymore, but are there really too many guys still playing in both leagues that would not allow this merger to happen? I now alot of guys use to play in both, but i did not think that was the case anymore.

It has been discussed before and probably will be discussed again. The problem this year is that we knew we would be getting another team to make 8. We didn't know we were possibly losing 1,2 or 3 teams. Communication throughout the winter is not exactly good between teams.
