Playoff Action against Blenheim
Last evening, the Alvinston Indians squared off with the Blenheim Home Run Restaurant on home turf, in the opening game of their best 3 out of 5 semi-final matchup in St. Thomas and District Fastball League Playoff action.
A top of the first 2 run home run off of Indians pitcher Doug Charlton is all Blenheim could muster up the entire game. Only thing was that Alvinston's offense never got going, due to a stellar pitching performance by Blenheim pitcher Greg Guy, and they failed to score a run. Charlton was the hard luck loser in the 2-0 final, allowing 5 hits, while fanning 8 Blenheim swingers. Guy got the win for Blenheim allowing only three hits, and two walks, while striking out 14 Alvinston swingers.
Game 2 of the series, is scheduled for next Tuesday in Blenheim, beginning at 8:00pm.

Really classy Home Runners!
Why don't we talk about your crying towels from Tuesday night. I never seen grown men cry as much as you butt-wipes. 4 of your guys should have been kicked out of the play-offs if the umps and league had any balls.
You were a disgrace to town.
This ain't Chico.

yah I think that should be a forfeit... it is the home teams' responsiblilty to make sure that there are umpires for the game.... chico got a forfiet out of Morpeth because of rain, so I think that forgetting to call the umps constitutes a forfeit. ..
Blenhiem takes series.. !!

Never mind the bitching & whining. Sunday night: Blenheim 7 - Alvinston 2. And the umpires could even see when balls were caught and people were thrown out.

If the game was played between Shedden and St. Thomas last night, what was the score and what about the Blenheim, Alvinston series. Any games in the last couple of nights, and if so, what were the scores.
Thanks
