one guy who should get a look is the Johnson kid from Glencoe, i saw him at the Moncton tourney playing for Heflin (i think) and he looked good, 3 sac bunts, good running catch and hit a double from Frankie Cox. The kid can play not sure he is planning on persuing ball as I heard he was a hockey player. I know he is not part of the whole St T click, but he did play JR for Fingal , i thought by now the Storm would bring him up, not Heflin . From talking to Wolfey the kid is a good kid, why not give him a shot?
Just a thought

I happen to like Johnson as a ball player. He would do quite well at the senior level. He's a very good athelete! If he was to play with the Cents, what would that do to Glencoe?
To suggest there is a clique in St. T would be wrong. We have discussed the addition of many players from our league.

Preseason rankings has St. Thomas at #16. Looks pretty reasonable, but I think they may surprise a few and move up a couple of spots.

We were 2 and 2, the games that we won were not reported. St. Thomas team played well just had a couple of bad breaks. Not bad for the first tourney of the year.

ISC Canada East World Tournament Berths Wednesday, May 30, 2007 Five Canada East Region teams headed to the ISC World Tournament May 30, 2007 - ISC Canada East Vice-President Blair Setford is pleased to announce that along with the host Kitchener Hallman Twins, four additional teams from the Canada East Region will be competing in the 2007 ISC World Tournament. Orillia Riversharks, who earned a berth by winning the ISC Travel League championship last year, entered the season as the top-ranked team and will be looking to improve on last year's third-place finish. Jarvis Merchants are coming off a third-place finish at last year's Canadian Senior Men's Championship and are ranked just outside the top 10 in 11th in the pre-season rankings. Innerkip Eagles earned a berth in last weekend's Erie tournament and will be playing in their seventh consecutive ISC World Tournament. St. Thomas Centennials will be playing in their first World Tournament as a team, although they are loaded with experienced players up and down their lineup. "The Canada East Region will be well represented by these five teams," said Setford. "Any of them can beat any other team in fastball on a given day and I expect all of them will be playing on the last couple of days in Kitchener in August." The ISC World Tournament is being held for the second straight year and third time in the last six years in Kitchener, Ontario. The tournament starts Friday August 10 and concludes Saturday August 18. For more information on the ISC and the ISC World Tournament, please see our website at www.iscfastpitch.com.

Yes, the same Craig Crawford who plays for Midland Explorers and lives in Kitchener. Midland, a long time favourite at this and many other tournaments in Ontario, is not in the Woodstock tournament this year however players spotted from Midland in addition to Crawford were: Steve Horning and Kyle Beane, playing for Innerkip this weekend.
Coach Bill Horne of St. Thomas noted that Trevor Wardell was throwing the ball this evening as hard as he has done in two years.
A well played exciting game that entertained the large crowd out for the first game of the weekend.
