Blenheim does not have the 2 best pitchers. Have you forgot about Beecroft, Winship, Blonde and Winkworth. All 4 are better than Blenheim's pitchers, although Guy and Ceppi can win some games.

Razor- thanks for the interest and the support. You are obviously a fan of the game and our league, thanks!! Here's how I see things shaping up: Alvinston- have added some solid defense and 3 more sticks in Scotty Mc, Fenton and Smith along with another arm in Derby. How effective he is remains to be seen but definitley will add depth and he's a good team guy. Probably the most improved team and they didn't need to improve much. Will be in the finals and will make a good run at the ISC2 qualifier. Can they keep everyone happy? Fingal- still the champs so don't write them off. Best defensive team and very patient, veteran hitters. Beecroft and Cummings can shut down anyone but with a shorter porch in Fingal may need to keep the ball down more. Have lots of players in camp, some part timers. How much committment will come from the senior guys? Belmont- many questions to be answered here. How much leadership has been lost with Wren leaving and possibly Hewbank. Will the new guys gel with the old guard. Will the young guys be happy with limited playing time. Wink and Walk and VanVliet will be a solid staff. Defense still an issue. Cory W will help in that area. Blenheim-2 capable pitchers that can keep them in games. Hitters are streaky. Depth is an issue. Had a good year last year. Have they peaked? Matt Haskell keeps them up and Greg Haskell is their spark plug. How much have the young guys improved? Lost former defensive player of the year. Will that hurt? Glencoe- winship and Neale back. Pitching is steady until Winship melts down. Lost Wolfe, Galbraith , Huston and Stover. That's most of their offense and all of their leadership. Huge losses! Too bad because they have done a lot of things right the last 2 years. Young guys will have to step up or else they are going to lose a lot of close games. Mitchell and Pisky will have to carry the load offensively. Shedden- most potent offense in the league for sure, but what happens if the sticks get cold? Lost Walker but Joseph supposed to be there part time. Hope they keep this team together, they can be entertaining to watch. Pretty good core group, if they tighten up defensively they will still win their share of games. If Joseph shows up regularly they could be one of the top teams. Shift work really hurts them and you never know what team will show up. How much has Scron learned at the All Star pitching clinic this winter? He can still throw with the best in this league. Morpeth- they've been active on the forums and seem to think they'll be in the thick of things. Blonde and Voth will be solid. Defense is like swiss cheese though. How many pitches will their best hitters get to hit if games are close. They did score some runs last year but how many of them were after the score was out of hand. Good fan support and good committment from players. Hope this continues and they get better.
That's the way I see it, can't wait til spring!!

Blenheim -the best two pitchers in the league!!! Put down the bong man! Your brain is all clouded up, dude. Have you watched Charlton pitch over the last 15 years. What about Beecroft? He's got his name on the pitching trophy about 4 times. Winship has a lifetime era under 1.00 in world and national tourneys. If you don't believe it go to his pitching clinic website, it's on there. Winky was the co MVP last year, not sure why but he was. What have the 2 guys from Blenheim ever won?

Fingal - Everyone seems to forget that Union scored the most runs last year. (I just checked the stats) They also gave up the fewest. With the best defence in the league, it seems to be a good recipe. Moving to Fingal will hurt their runs against a little but I think it may help the runs for. Probably an even trade off. Don't forget Beecroft won the same awards as a young Boxall picher in the Fingal park as he just won this year in Union. He will adjust. Alvinston - made some good acquisitions, but will they find playing time for everyone Blenheim - they will in everygame, they always are Belmont - they will start off very quickly, but will they continue it for the season and playoffs Shedden - very explosive, but the pitching is always a question mark Glencoe - some big losses in personal, but Chipper can keep them in most games Morpeth - on paper and in the forums, they seem to be very good. I guess only time will tell.

Get with the times man, Highgate has folded! Heard Logan is in the 'Peth' and Six Nations. Don't know about Ronny P in Glencoe he may follow the guys that went back to Snappin Appin. Heard the same thing about Hewey. Hope it's not true he's a good player and a good guy!

guess I better re phrase this clearer... Blenhiem pitchers on their own maybe don't stand out like Beecroft, Charleton, Blonde, or Winship.. very true. But of all the teams in the league, you would be hard pressed to say that they don't have one of the best pairs.

Teams with better 1/2 than Blenheim: Alvinston, Fingal and Belmont's tandem this year is very close.
